+adambro
Hi all. Just a quick reminder that the Cacher of the Month website is open for entries for your caching activity for the month of January 2009. Please get your results in by the end of the 15th of this month. If anyone informs me of a problem then I'll try to deal with this as quickly as possible. Regards, Adam Quote Link to comment

+HazelS
Here we go.... I have had a snipey email from a cacher - who I won't name, who wants to know HOW I did 9 Trig points when "in your own words, you don't do hills, come on, are you sure you did 9 when you can't walk up a hill, where the majority of trig points are?" For that person, or anyone else for that matter, if you cared to look, you'd see that I spent new year in Washington DC, where I did 9 BENCHMARKS. I am reliably told that they count as trigs for the purpose of COTM. Silly me... I thought this was a hobby, not a witch hunt. Edited February 16, 2009 by HazelS Quote Link to comment
+Tavisman
As a newbie I'm really excited in my cacher of the month position (I'm sure in time I will grow out of it). On 'Travel Bugs Released' I came joint third with overanout. Wow! So just wanted to say: thank you adambro for setting up The Cacher of the Month Competition. Quote Link to comment

Glad about the Benchmark comment as we included three in December's results. Quote Link to comment
+FunLovingGeocacher
Look out for me in Aprils results - I'm off to America and going for a personally COTM best. Bet I can top 9 benchmarks! I counted the trigpoint/benchmark on the wall of Birmingham town hall as a find last month. Quote Link to comment
+HazelS
LOL - good luck - I was only out looking for bench marks for half a day in DC... you'll find tonnes if you're seriously looking!!! Forgive me if I'm wrong... I don't think UK benchmarks count! Edited February 18, 2009 by HazelS Quote Link to comment
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog
I am afraid I gave up bothering with COTM when I discovered some relative newbies at an event logging everything in sight that was trackable, specifically stating they were doing it for COTM points! Quote Link to comment

Rules (Always a good idea to read them...) 3. Travel bugs and Geocoins will be counted on the day you picked them up. All bugs/coins need to be picked up to be moved to be counted. Travel bugs or Geocoins logged out and then back into caches or events do not count. Quote Link to comment
