Transfer Garmin Topo

How do I transfer this from one computer to another? I lost the disc and would like it on my laptop.

You are probably out of luck. I owuld call Garmin to see if they will send you a new disk. If that does not work, you could try installing mapsource using this procudure:

Then download mapsettoolkit at:

You will also need to download gpsmapper at:

 

http://cgpsmapper.com/

 

(Both are free)

 

It MAY be able to install the maps-the issue is if Garmin has some copy protection in thier maps that prevents them from being installed this way. This system works great to install user made maps.

Make sure that you install it to the registry; the entries for topo v3 are:
