You are probably out of luck. I owuld call Garmin to see if they will send you a new disk. If that does not work, you could try installing mapsource using this procudure:




Then download mapsettoolkit at:




You will also need to download gpsmapper at:




(Both are free)


It MAY be able to install the maps-the issue is if Garmin has some copy protection in thier maps that prevents them from being installed this way. This system works great to install user made maps.

Burn the Topo file to a disc, then load onto laptop.

I did this with Garmin MetroGuide, so I guess it will work with Topo?

I have it on a external hard drive and tried it but it did not work. Do you need to put it in a file?

Make sure that you install it to the registry; the entries for topo v3 are:





Obviously change C:\\gps_maps\\topo\\ to your folder.
