+TriggerMN
I placed a nano recently and received an e-mail that it was no longer magnetic. I went to check it out, and it must have lost its magnet somehow. Would it work to cut out a small bit of refrigerator magnet to replace the lost one? Anybody have any other suggestions or remedies? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
+Y2KOTA
Had the same issue last week. Found that the ones I got have 2 thin magnets in them. 1 works almost as good 2. The 1 magnet caches I'll use in a upright hide. I did use super glue to glue them into the base. Hope that helps a little. Quote Link to comment
+BillyB514
Home depot and lowes sell small magnets of different sizes and shape near or in the key making department I believe. BB Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I'm not sure if a fridge magnet would be strong enough. I guess you can try it and see. If you want a powerful magnet check out Lee Valley Tools. They have rare earth magnets in a variety of sizes and shapes. Quote Link to comment

Thanks in advance. "Regular" magnets don't work that well. I bought "earth magnets" (or rare earth magnets) and used Gorilla Glue - small drop in the bottom and then the magnet dropped in. The cost of the earth magnets aren't bad at all. Quote Link to comment
+Pat in Louisiana
The last 10 I bought had loose magnets. I used super glue and it works fine Just be careful not to get any on the threads. You can get the samll rare earth mags at any craft shop. Quote Link to comment
+Rigger64
Try using Hard drive magnets break a small piece off use a drop of super glue to attach it Quote Link to comment
+undertree
Super glue to secure them in the nano. I bought 100 of the nano size (3/8"x1/16") rare earth magnets on ebay for $12. (Hint I did best offer and got free shipping also) Quote Link to comment
+blb9556
Try using Hard drive magnets break a small piece off use a drop of super glue to attach it Earth magnets are the best. HD magnets aren't good because you can only get them from a HD! Plus they are very thick and hard to cut. Quote Link to comment
rapriebe
Ok... brand new to the hobby (and this is my first post) and maybe a silly question, but what is a "nano magnet"? Is it just a magnetically attached cache? Or am I missing some other important piece of data? Thanks and have patience with me. Quote Link to comment
