Colorado 400T and number of geocaches

What is the max number of geocaches can the Garmin Colorado 400T handle ? I have reached the max limit twice.

I have loaded several PQ's with 500 caches each.

If you're doing PQ's it will hold 2000. I'm not sure how many individual caches you can squeeze in. Check here: http://garmincolorado.wikispaces.com/

I believe it is a max of 2000 waypoints, not just caches. So your child waypoints eat into your allocation as well. Certainly I've maxed out before reaching 2000 caches (with 2.9 firmware).

Maximum 1000 waypoints plus 2000 caches, individual gpx files only 200.

So if you load sets of 500 different caches, you'll reach the limit with 4 gpx files.

POI:s seem to have no limit (?)

As Tervas says, 2000 caches plus an additional 1000 waypoints, in a maximum of 200 .gpx files. Caches are not waypoints. Extra waypoints, such as parking places, are waypoints but not caches. Earlier firmware also had some kind of soft limit on the total size of the .gpx files. Reports are that this is no longer an issue with the latest firmware.

Not sure how you would hit the limit below 2000 caches unless you have a mix of PQs and individual cache .gpx files and are hitting the 200 file limit. Are your .gpx files on internal memory, on the SD card, or a mixture?
