Hollys Hikers Sad News

Just a quick note to pass on the sad news that Holly from Hollys Hikers passed away on Monday night.

She always had great fun out caching and was known to find the odd box or two herself.

Her memory will continue as we both want to keep Hollys Hikers as our team name.

Very sorry to hear your sad news Andy and Bev.

It must be very difficult for you at the moment, but remember Holly had a great life with you and it certainly shows she had a happy time if that fabulous photo is anything to go by, I've never seen such a big smile on a dog before.

Email on it's way...

Oh what an awful shock,

I am so sorry Andy and Bev we were only talking about Holly at my meet at the end of December and you were saying how well she was doing..

I know how good a life she had with you and how much you both thought of her...

I will ring you

I am sorry for your family. I know how sad this time is. That is indeed a great picture. While the memories of Holly will always be with you, I always tell people to keep an open mind about bringing another friend into your home. J.C. the puppymonster was a great addition after we lost our dog Spike.

Sorry about your dog someone gave this poem to me when my terrier died suddenly. They also gave me a suncatcher which hangs in the corner of the room where she slept. I still talk to her, however, here is the poem;

Is the pleasure worth the pain?

Yes, I say, and yes again,

But when fate decrees we part,

Oh! the agony of a broken heart

Moulting hair and muddy paws,

Chewed up slippers, paint stratched doors,

Walkies in the pouring rain,

Is the pleasure worth the pain?

But Oh! What love, no questions asked,

Greeting that are surpassed,

Willing ears for my senseless talk,

Making friends on a country walk.

Laughter at antics with ball or bone,

company so I am not alone,

Need I ask if we lose or gain?

Yes the pleasure's worth the pain.
