rutson
On 8/8/05, two cachers, "pennington" and "BILLYCOLE" visited Cheshire caches and picked up a travel bug each. These were their one and only finds. The travel bugs, TBG083 & TBHXNT seemed to disappear off the face of the earth... ...until yesterday! On a very aptly named "Bleaklow", we found the cache "Bleaklow Head" and inside were these two travel bugs! I'm sure the owners thought they were missing. I wonder where they got to for 3½ years? We had one yesterday Chip me into a Premiership Football Cache (TBKB3B) belonging to Slytherin that was picked up by a new cacher with a handful of finds on 22 Apr 06. We've emailed the previous finder of the cache to see if they placed it and where they had it from as at the same time they picked up Ma's Gypsy Geocoin (TBN6AE) Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
It's great when 'The Disappeared' return once more. It just goes to show that there is always hope, when your trackable goes missing. MrsB Quote Link to comment
Simply Paul
I recall a thread where you'd hung onto a TB for months and months rutson, so 'I guess it happens' Quote Link to comment
Gushoneybun
We found a TB on Christmas day that had been missing for two years almost to the day Elmo1 sadly on the same day I also found several TB's and a few coins that had gone from the caches I visited with no recent visitors. I emailed all the owners and several have since been moved to the unknown location Quote Link to comment
La Fifi
I really love when they resurface too...I set loose a new tb every year when on our jolly hols. One was picked up in Spain in 2007 by a relatively new cacher. After a couple of chase emails he advised he'd forgotten all about it, was now in the US and arranged for it to be posted out there to him, where he has now set it on it's way again...result! +NickandAliandEliza
We had one taken from a cache on 30/10/2004 and then reappear on 16/04/2008....... Faffy of the Yard ..........the only problem was that some of the bits that had been attached to it were gone. Quote Link to comment
schnarff
Well its not quite the same as it didnt exactly go missing but one of my coins went from South Africa before Christmas with a log stating it would be going on its travels again. It then went very quiet until the new year when I have received a lovely log from some people saying they had it safely in their possession and were just waiting for the holidaymakers to log the drop off before they logged it. I thought this was nice of them as not everyone puts a note on whilst waiting for loggers. Quote Link to comment
