+mazzmn Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Hi All, My daughter is heading to London very soon, however she will be GPSr-less. Could anyone point us to a TB hotel she could find /access easily without a GPS? We'd like to drop a bug and see where it goes. I've already contacted one cache owner in the area who has many finds, he was from too far away to help, although we found one cache which happened to be muggled the next day :-( I'm still pretty green in my geocaching, but have seen TB hotels in the US which are pretty much obvious (at truckstops for example) and are protected from muggles by a combo lock ...thought maybe something like that would be available. thanks for any advice Quote
+The Blorenges Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Hi mazzman I'm sure someone from the London area drop by and give suggestions soon. Do you happen to know which part of London your daughter will be staying in? Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to you MrsB Quote
+mazzmn Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 I'm sure someone from the London area drop by and give suggestions soon. Hi MrsB One location is 97 Cromwell Road London, SW7 4DN, United Kingdom Thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Quote
+JeremyR Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 There's always London Letterbox & Travel bug xchange. It's had a bit of a rough ride lately but it's well looked after. It also gets bucket loads of visitors. I could be wrong but I believe it's the only TB hotel inside tube Zone 1... Quote

+purple_pineapple Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 PM sent to help out. Last Delivery is easy to find and large enough! Alternatively, my workplace is VERY easy to find, and I'm happy to meet up Monday to Friday to pick them up if that helps! Quote

[look at google earth and follow the clue] Good luck !!! Quote
+mazzmn Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 TB hotel she could find /access easily without a GPS? Thanks much everyone. Geocachers are great! London Letterbox & Travel bug xchange was suggested to me earlier by a somewhat local cacher... but as hinted by the sigh above, is currently in a state of disrepair. It looks like Evelinas Children Hospital is nearly as close and easy to find. So she'll have one or possibly two caches to try for and some contact names as a backup plan. Evelinas Children Hospital is empty of trackables. If anyone wants to send some bugs or coins to the US, I suggest dropping them in that cache this weekend. Thanks again! Happy New Year! Quote
