Garmin Map ID Finder

Recommended Posts

If you don't want to host it on rapidshare I can host it as a tool on GPSFileDepot. http://www.gpsfiledepot.com

The program works well for finding custom map IDs but I will mention that you didn't handle the old maps (US Topo not 2008), see this:

hmm, could you send me the reg file hklm\software\garmin\mapsource ?

All I had to go on was us topo 2008 and streets 2009.

Does this work for G2 Vision cards?I am trying to find a MapID for VCA004R in order to backup my copy.

Could you add this to another downloading site?Rapidshare is only allowing 10 d/ls because a premiunm account isn't used.

MAking this available on this site to avoid this problem.

Yep ! I am running into the same problem... RapidShare says there is a 10 D/L Maximum and it has been reached.

So.... can you make it available elsewhere ? I'm sure we would all really appreciate it.

Thanks for your help and making this file available.

I found a copy on my computer that I had downloaded. I've made up a tools page for it now: Garmin Map ID Finder Download

Hi you all,

first post. I am trying to get the ID of the whole GB discoverer 2.6 Gb file and it give me the arror that the arithmetic operation has ended in an overflow.

is it because of the huge size of the file? If I open the file with a programmer editor would it work?

here follows the log of the ID finder error

Regards

P.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.
