Postage Rates going up again?

The lady at the post office told me that while the regular letter rate isn't going up. Priority and International Priority, and most likely the rate for flats and packages will be going up.

 

This isn't a confirmation but I'm wondering if anyone else has heard this also.

Here is a link I found on the USPS rate. Looks like regualrt stamps will also be going up in May.

I realized that international mail from Germany will also be going up next year.

But there may also be some restructuring of weight groups, so some mailers could even be cheaper! I'll have to find out.

New Zealand hiked up their rates mid year. Most impressively making an A4 envelope national mail 50% more expensive without announcing it much. Just a little table on their webpage.

Somehow though, addiction might win through....

 

It does make me wonder though why prices of mail, food and other things that go up, citing rising delivery costs don't come when fuel prices came down last month!!!

 

Other than strawberries, we are still paying too much.
