+TerryDad2 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 "An EarthCache site is a special place that people can visit to learn about a unique geoscience feature or aspect of our Earth. Visitors to EarthCache sites can see how our planet has been shaped by geological processes, how we manage the resources and how scientists gather evidence to learn about the Earth." from earthcache.org The cache owner describes the geological process/feature at the coordinates then asks some "educational" questions for verification. A specialized version of a virtual cache. Quote
+danieloliveira Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 .................. A specialized version of a virtual cache. But a hell of a lot more fun! Quote
+joranda Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Just be sure to print out the cache page before you go to them so that you answer the questions that they ask for. Remember, there is no container to find, no log to sign. Just answer the questions and take a picture at the site. Are you going to the Red Rock canyon? I've done most of the earthcaches there on one of my trips to Nevada. I see you picked up my travel bug that I dropped there the last time I was in town. Find a safe home for him so that he don't get muggled like one of my last TBs that I left there. It never was logged that it left the cache. What a bummer. By the way, I was a BMX racer in the day. Ol' school! Quote
