+JABs
The links on cache pages seem to of stopped working. A couple of my caches had links to other caches and a couple had links to web sites, now all seem to have dropped the (visit link) with this -("http://www.ozsite.com.au/oberonrailway/default.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">visit link) thus not allowing you any way to click on link except to cut and paste the url. +Xaa
Maybe it was just a temporary glitch? Everything seems to work fine on the cache page you mentioned Link to comment

The link on the cache page listed is not working for me either. Also, all the links on profile pages are not working. They are showing the HTML code for the link, but the links aren't there anymore. Check out my profile page for an example... Link to comment
+Raine
I'm not seeing this issue either. Can you post some GC numbers that you're seeing this on? Link to comment
Moun10Bike
Take a look at my profile for an example. All of the links are broken, with the URLs getting displayed to the side of the link text. I checked other profiles and see the same thing there. Screenshot: Link to comment
+DiamondDaveG
I just checked your profile & all the links seem to be fixed. I decided to investiate further just in case. I see that my links are not showing correctly now. I also see that the 'Friends' tab is missing from my profile page. Not sure what's up unless it's hidden server upgrades, updates, etc. -edited for spelling- Edited November 27, 2008 by DiamondDaveG Link to comment
Moun10Bike
Yep, my profile now seems to be fixed! However, my forum signature is now broken: Link to comment
Moun10Bike
Either this has been fixed, or my signature edit did it! Link to comment
Keystone
I saw this too today, on one of my bookmark lists where the links didn't work. An edit of one of the bookmarks and a refresh, and voila -- all was well again. This is a recurring and elusive problem with rendering links properly. I blame an unruly hamster. Link to comment
+Team Chinook
I've pushed an update from GSAK, Stats Generator, (Stats generated by FindStatGen3 V3.3.20 by rutson and lignumaqua, running on 'http://gsak.net'>GSAK v7.2.3.35) and the links are all broken. Tried it 3 different times and it is my standard way of updating my profile. Worked flawlessly before. Html looks fine when StatsGen opens up new webpage running as a GSAK macro. Here is my profile as an example (6pm Pacific Turkey Day) http://www.geocaching.com/profile/ I saw this too today, on one of my bookmark lists where the links didn't work. I've tried updating my profile with freshly run stats at least 5 times, but each and every time it strips the HTML code that creates the link. Take a look at my profile to see what it looks like. Basically this: <a href='http://coord.info/GC1H34W'>GC1H34W</a> Becomes this: 'http://coord.info/GC1H34W'>GC1H34W Edited November 28, 2008 by Teddy2k Link to comment
+JABs
All looks OK from downunder now. Link to comment
+paleolith
Suddenly broken for me too. If this is longstanding, as Keystone indicates, I'd say some effort needs to go into pinning it down. Pretty ugly when it happens, and the intermittent nature makes it as hard for us to get around as for GS to debug. Edward Link to comment
+Guanajuato
Broken for me too - I went to edit one of my caches (GC1HG9E to make something more obvious that was being missed. When I viewed the resulting page, all the links on it went awry. The <A HREF= tag was stripped, leaving "website"> and the </A> tag was stripped. I assumed that a decision had been made by TPTB to disallow external links except for the 'link to user's website' bit. Just checked my other caches, and it would appear to be something in the page editing engine that's stripped the code, because in-line links in the other caches have remained intact. +hzoi
I am seeing the same thing in my profile. Not only are the links in my GSAK-generated FindStatGen whatnot broken, so are the simple links I had in the top portion of my profile, such as the one to http://www.militarycache.org. JohnMac56
It appears that whatever problem was causing the links to be broken has been fixed! My profile page looks fine as well as a few others that were having the same problem with the links not working correctly!!! Link to comment
goldnretrievers
I'm having the same problem with the html code for the external links in the logs not working. Problem started yesterday, still not working today. Is anyone else still having a problem? Check this log for an example: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...17-90382a77a073 Link to comment
goldnretrievers
OK, never mind. In the time it took to post, the problem seems to have fixed itself. Maybe simply posting to the forum is an automatic cure??? Link to comment
+Parabola
I noticed this last night. It seemed to be working again first thing this morning. Now it's back to some broken links. Link to comment
+TeamWolfie
I noticed this last night. It seemed to be working again first thing this morning. Now it's back to some broken links. Same here. I like to post a link to our external blog for each of our finds, and I'm getting my URL links exploded to this in my log entries - Our blog entry for this find: ("http://www.teamwolfie.com/2008/11/grass-tree-rock/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">visit link) Link to comment

+DiamondDaveG
Mine did start working again last night fairly soon after I posted my comment. But, looking at it today, it is 'broken' again. Someone needs to 'take care' of that furry rodent. Link to comment
goldnretrievers
Yeah, mine are broken again. I suppose someone is working on it??? I saw some other posts that said it depended on what server the user was accessing the geocaching website on - some servers work, some don't. Link to comment
