No problems at all. I have gone through many major and small airports with no worries including London Heathrow. The most they will ask is you turn it on to prove it works.

Which brings up another question. What if you can't turn it on? My 2820 doesn't have batteries, neither does my 2610.

Then you might have a problem.

 

Although, I can't remember the last time (years ago) that I had to turn on a camera, a laptop, or a mobile phone to prove it works.

 

I fly with my GPSr in my laptop bag at least once a month. I've never been asked about it.
