+Gamaliel
Has anyone tried using Wherigo with a Dell mini laptop or a comparably sized computer and a external GPS device. I figure this will cost about as much as upgrading my gps or pda to something usable with Wherigo and I get a new mini laptop - something I want/need for other reasons - to boot. What kind of external GPS do you recommend? Do you bring it into the woods or just use it for urban caching? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+jasontimmer
I'm still looking for a way to use Wherigo on my laptop. I've been geocaching with my dell mini 10v for a while now, along with a globalsat bu-353 gps receiver. I take the laptop into the woods and it works out great, you just have to be careful to keep it clean and dry. It's certainly not waterproof like many dedicated gps devices. Quote Link to comment
+cache4pat
See my reply in the "Wherigo w/ PocketPC Emulator + Garmin 60CSX" March 6, 2008 thread. I've used benh57's guidance to pair an Acer Netbook with a Garmin GPSmap76CSx. Quote Link to comment
