+JABs
The Riverina Geocaching Committee is within a few weeks of posting the much anticipated Oz Mega Wagga Wagga on Geocaching.com. We will inform all Geocaching members on which night it will be and "The ump" has agreed to assist us with an exact time we nominate. Caughtatwork will assist with all postings on Geocaching Australia hopefully as the first event to be listed at the top of every state at once for all to see. The 4 day Easter weekend for 2010 also has the Classic Car Rally booked in for 4 days within Wagga Wagga with 300 car entrants from around Australia and about 700 people. What this means is: if you are intending on being at Oz Mega Wagga Wagga and If you are one of the teams not planning on staying within the Kurrajong Camp Reserve on the 4 days of Easter, now is the time to book your appropriate accommodation within Wagga Wagga whether it be Caravan Park, Motel, B&B, Hotel, etc. If you are making a holiday of the event, staying a week or two either side of the event, not so urgent, but it would be advisable to book your accommodation shortly as well. The School Holiday dates for each state are here: http://www.australia.gov.au/topics/aust ... term-dates The best link for all types of Accommodation and Riverina Tourism is here: http://www.waggawaggaaustralia.com.au/ Greg, President Riverina Geocaching Committee. Victoria leads the way with 58 teams followed by NSW 46 , SA 36 , ACT 21 , QLD 21 , WA 8 , TAS 6 , USA 4 and Switzerland 1. We still need teams to post " Will Attends " and more importantly now to enter via the online "Registration Process ". Late registration entry will be $40 after March 1st. The event has a new Sponsor added to the list and we are pleased to announce our 22nd sponsor is Engel portable fridge -freezers involved with the Oz Mega. The main merchandise items are going well and will have a cut-off order date of the 15th March ,so as to be ready with your Registration and Welcome packs. The helicopter rides and wine and cheese tasting are proving popular as well .The wine and cheese tasting is at the nearby Wagga Winery only 5 minutes away and includes for $1.50 wine tasting and nibblies of cheese, crackers, dips and strawberries. Once again, any registrations and merchandise and food orders in early will all assist the Committee in putting together the logistics and infrastructure for these and many other components for the fast approaching first ever 4 day event only 43 days away. +MtnLioness
Just wondering how I would go about getting the attention of the American travelers coming to this event to ask if they have a few Kilos spare room in their luggage?? I have some very important things that were left there accidentally recently and would very much like them back. Shipping prices are ridiculous so just wondering if I can get someone to bring my things back for me? (just some scrapbooking albums of my kids and some scrapbooking papers, I know this sounds trivial but would dearly love them back!!) Quote Link to comment
