+cincol
Nothing yet. It seems my easy question is not so easy we could pass this one on? Without using Google - as per the informal "rules" - I doubt anybody has every heard of the guy. I certainly couldn't remember back to 1969 when he walked on the moon! Suggestion - ask another question perhaps. After all it is over 2 weeks since the question was asked with virtually no response. Link to comment

+cincol
It was the 1999 RWC Final vs England in Paris I think. Jannie de Beer was the #10 and kicked 5 drop goals. I think Naas Botha kicked 4 vs France on the same pitch some years prior. Link to comment

peterleroux
Benoni? Indeed. On the 10th of March 1922, two aircraft dropped bombs on the Mine Workers Hall, the Park Cafe and the Court buildings. In the same action, a shot from one of the miners claimed the first fatality In the South African Air Force . Back to carbon hunter Link to comment

The idea was that suspending the floors makes the structure lighter, allowing longer spans between columns, and therefore more flexibility in re-arranging furniture. Your move. Link to comment

peterleroux
Eish. I know it's the second oldest Air Force in the world after the RAF, and I think it was operational by 1922 to bomb Benoni during the Rand Revolt. I know Sir Pierre van Ryneveldt was involved in establishing it, but I don't know much more about it's origins. First aircraft were Camels and Boxkites, I think. Link to comment

+cownchicken
Kimberley? Remember going to an Air Force museum just outside of town about 30 years ago. At the time we really had a good laugh as the museum really had nothing. A few years back we did a cache just outside the gates of the place but didn't take the time to investigate if things had improved. Link to comment
