.kml upload for caches along a route not working?

I've been trying to upload a .kml file for a route for about a week. I've tried from work and at home with no success. I've been able to make it work in the past, but now, nothing. The route never shows up after I hit the "upload" button, there is nothing to select to see the preview.

 

Am I not holding my tongue right?

Probably not, I was able to get one uploaded last night.

 

Be sure to follow the directions exactly. I think they have a diagram of how to hold your tongue.

I may have figured out the problem. The .kml was created using Google Maps. I just tried opening it in Google Earth and then saving it again. This new file uploaded just fine.

 

Perhaps there's something the the Google Earth formatting that the upload thingy looks for that is not present in the Google Maps file...?

I've found that to be a necessary workaround for Google Maps files. Don't know why, maybe I'll take a look sometime.
