Dodentocht (death march) 100km in 24hrs Aug 2009

After attending the lyke wake walk event, I got to thinking about the Dodentocht again. Wonder if there would be any takers, on this one. Maybe some caches and an event? Location Belgium.

Can you take a bicycle? Sounds like any caches on route would only get a very quick look-for, and there could be a muggle or two around.

Having seen the adventures of "King Owfar" and his chums earlier this year, I would suspect that caching would be the last thing on anyone's mind when attempting something like this.

Depends on your level of training and preparation . I have seen people who need all their attention to complete the walk where others walk like they are just shopping. Did the Four Days Marches Nijmegen this year ("only" 50 km a day, 4 consecutive days) and there you see the same.

 

But still .... caches typically are not along the route thus one might wonder whether you would make the additional effort of a detour. For as far as this is possible.
