+sataraid1 0 Posted November 3, 2008 If you're going into the woods, you should already be wearing hunter orange, because bow season is in. Fortunately, there are significantly fewer bow hunters in general. I have yet to run into a bow hunter this season. However, gun season starts Nov. 15, and the woods (including some state parks, and virtually all state forests) will be FILLED with hunters of wildly varying competency levels. Deer hunting overview for the 08-09 season: • Youth - September 27 and 28, 2008 • Early Archery - October 1, 2008 - November 30, 2008 • Firearms - November 15, 2008 - November 30, 2008 • Muzzleloader - December 6, 2008 - December 21, 2008 • Late Archery - December 6, 2008 - January 4, 2009 I will be disabling all my caches in hunting areas for at least the first two full weekends of gun season. Be careful out there. Quote Share this post Link to post
+Deermark 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Thanks for the useful info. I was going to check the DNR website tonight now I don't have to. Deermark Quote Share this post Link to post
+Team Shydog 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Thanks for the info. That is one of the reasons I had my hiking event this past weekend. Time to let the hunters enjoy their fun for awhile. Quote Share this post Link to post
+Jenischmeni 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Glad I bought that Hunter's orange for that Indian Creek Shelter cache that Jaypit dragged me to! Thanks for the heads-up Sataraid. I was wondering about the exact dates. Quote Share this post Link to post
