lordelph
Gary "Inunshuk" Rogers appealled for help with his original "geograph" idea on these hallowed forums over 3 years ago. Myself and Barry Hunter answered the call and Geograph British Isles was born! This morning we published our millionth photograph - every single one of which is freely available for re-use under a Creative Commons licence. I've met many cachers who are also contributors to Geograph, so I salute you all! Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
Congratulations Geograph! We've enjoyed contributing a few photographs to this project - Must see if we can fill in the (very few) missing squares near to us sometime. MrsB Quote Link to comment
Gralorn
Brilliant, quite often have a browse around at the areas prior to going out to geocache. Some lovely photos as well. Well done on the million photos, just shows these things can be done. Quote Link to comment
SUp3rFM & Cruella
This project is really very interesting. Great concept and what an achievement. Congratulations. I'll be following it. Quote Link to comment
Happy Humphrey
Geograph has been a great success, and I'm pleased to have contributed a few photos myself (over 750, in fact). I remember back to the early days, when you had to e-mail the images in a rather clunky fashion. This was quickly improved and once the site started to take shape, I could see that we had some guys with real ability and imagination running the project. Now the website is really fantastic: no wonder that it's still so popular. Quote Link to comment
