wenzelbub
No reply to my mails Still waiting for the refund for 5 coins I returned to him to replace, but he wasn't able because mint reminted the wrong ones. Quote Link to comment
yanagi
Personally, I do not believe, that I will ever receive the coin from this presale. What makes you think that you will never get the coins? I wait for 2 Tengwar mystery versions that I ordered at the beginning of November last year. I never had problems with Roberts presales and I still believe that I will get my coins! +Eric van Graveheart
At this point I feel the need to take up the cudgels for Roger. I know him since 2009, even before I found my first cache, as honorable and reliable trading partner. Within this time I had about 10 orders from his shop, most of them presales and also some deals from eBay. ALL of them went very smooth and without any problems... I remember one time, in the very beginning, when I was just a "no-name" as customer to him, when he made a little mistake, that caused a delay in one shipping. The result was, that he added a VERY rare and valuable coin as a free extra to me... I think Roger is NOT the type of guy how would make a sudden getaway and ripping off all his long standing customers and GC-friends. I have myself an order of the mystery-TOL from the presale last summer and also an order of the recent Tengwar sale open at him, both still in the status "processing"... BUT the only reasons I can think of, that these are not shipped yet, is that something bad has happened to Roger. I can imagine an accident or serious disease, just for example, there may also be other reasons, to prevent someone from being online and response here in this forum... At the same time I really do hope that I´m wrong, cause I would prefer the loss of my money to the reality that the kind guy, as I have got to know Roger, has really experienced something like this. As long as Roger didn´t fall from a mountain in an deserted area, or something dramtic like this, I´m SURE that it will all clear up as soon as he has the chance to be here again, so please everybody don´t give up faith and don´t judge him guilty before we know for sure what has happened. +rsfish1
I made a call today to the personal phone number I had for Roger. It is now no longer in use. And I did notice his website has renewed. It was about to expire. The only other number is where he had worked. I have not tried it. I just wish we would hear something from him. Life can get very crappy sometimes. And I hope he is doing well. It would just be nice to know whether he is OK or not. Quote Link to comment

xixao3d
It's unfortunate that there are so many people reporting issues receiving their orders. This is a remarkable coin, and I was tempted to buy... Quote Link to comment

mamoreb
Does anyone have any news about these coins or about scavok? I just tried e-mailing him, but I don't have high hopes. Also, since I don't seem to be getting the one I ordered... Does anyone have a silver coin with red tree for trade? That is my favourite version, by far. Quote Link to comment

manu luq
I have no words to express what I felt when I saw the two envelopes in my mailbox and that they were from SCAVOK. Before opening them I knew its contents: the coins that not were sent months ago, ...unfortunately we now know why. These coins are now much more than beautiful coins. RIP Roger Kovacs Quote Link to comment
JackHoe
Here too. Totaly unexpected I received an envelope wich said; From: SCAVOC.COM. It is very strange just to have heard Roger just past away, and then receive the coins he had designed. Mixed feelings. Happy but still said. And I only can repeat the words of manu lug; the three coins I have in hand now are much more than three beautiful coins. RIP Roger. Quote Link to comment

TC+12
Hello, I was looking for some information on these coins. I was wondering if anyone knows how many of each version were minted? Here is what I have so far: Dark Blue on .925 Silver (Error) 10 Minted Dark Blue on .925 Silver 25 Minted Brass Blue on .925 Silver 25 Minted Black Nickel 61 Minted Antique Bronze 71 Minted Antique Copper Green on Copper Green on Gold Green on Gold Green on Gold (Error) 150 Minted Red on Gold Red on Gold (Error) Satin Silver on Gold Shiny Silver on Gold Antique Silver 57 Minted Green on Silver Green on Silver (Error) Red on Silver Red on Silver (Error) Satin Gold on Silver Shiny Gold on Silver Brass Green on Silver Purple on Shiny Silver (Mystery Edition v2) Brass Red on Shiny Silver Also, I was wondering what the difference between Green vs. Brass Green or Blue vs. Brass Blue? I assume it is a different colored enameling, but is it lighter or darker or have some other color mixed into it or what? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
yanagi
I give it a try. The first minting numbers are the ones from the first batch and I copied the numbers that Roger published on his web site. The numbers in brackets are just a rough estimation and can be compeltely wrong. We know that there was a remint of the Green/Gold, Red/Gold, Green/Silver and Red/Silver. This remint was produced in the Error version that Roger sold in his shop. As far as I know he ordered the original versions again so I think the remint numbers of for example Green/Gold and Green/Gold-Error must be in the same area. In total there are 2241 Tree of Life coins and with my estimation I come to a total of 2247. (If somebody has other figures or information that proof me wrong I would be very happy to hear them!) Dark Blue on .925 Silver (Error) (10 Minted) Dark Blue on .925 Silver 25 Minted Brass Blue on .925 Silver 25 Minted Black Nickel 61 Minted Antique Bronze 71 Minted Antique Copper 59 Minted Green on Copper (Mytery V1) 125 Minted Green on Gold 223 Minted (plus ca. 150) Green on Gold (Error) (ca. 150) Red on Gold 134 minted (plus ca. 100) Red on Gold (Error) (ca. 100) Satin Silver on Gold (ca. 50) Shiny Silver on Gold (ca. 50) Antique Silver 57 Minted Green on Silver 100 Minted (plus. ca. 70) Green on Silver (Error) (ca. 70) Red on Silver 96 Minted (plus ca. 70) Red on Silver (Error) (ca. 70) Satin Gold on Silver (ca. 50) Shiny Gold on Silver (ca. 50) Brass Green on Silver 70 Minted Purple on Shiny Silver (Mystery V2 (ca. 150) Brass Red on Shiny Silver 61 Minted The difference between Green vs. Brass Green: Brass Green on Silver is a 2tone finish: Coin Edge and top layer is silver, bottom layers are brass and enemal is green. These a really great coins! Brass Green is just a Gold coin with green enemal. Please, let me hear if you think I'm close to the real numbers or far away! Quote Link to comment
yanagi
I made an article about this coin in a German coin wiki. Most of it is in German but at least you can see pictures of most of the different Versions: Tree of Life Wiki article I'm still searching for the missing versions in my collection: - Shiny Gold on Silver - Dark Blue on .925 Silver (Error) - Blue on .925 Shiny Silver TO Quote Link to comment
