What a great tale to share Wendy. Sounds like something I would end up doing too...lol

I can't believe you told them you were looking for aliens  ....Scarey situation to be in at the time I'm sure but it made me smile when I read your log. Thanks for sharing your story.

Hi D&G

What a great story, it was such a good read. I’m glad it all turned out well and you got your things back. If you are a Podcacher listener, you should send them your story. They will have to reset the DWAB counter (Days Without A Bombscare)

That was a great read lol.... "looking for aliens"..... would have loved to have seen the look on their faces when you told them that!!! Glad it all turned out ok for you though, and that you got everything back.

OMG Wendy!!:laughing: It just goes to prove you should not be let out alone! :D That bit of paper an' all - it does look very incriminating to the untrained caching eye :) Looks a great cache too - I might have to make a special effort to get into the big smoke and have a crack at it. B)

what, when you leave a bag behind or when somebody like me makes that kind of statement

When you forgot your pack and go back to retrieve it and find the area blocked off and the bomb squad inspecting the bags contents for invasion plans and the rest of your terrorist Gx network.

Great story Wendy. So glad that it ended well for you and you got your bag back. I can just picture their faces when you blurted out I'm looking for Aliens..............Mmm we've got a right one here LOL.

I hope caesar is over his limp BTW.

Glad it all worked out in the end Wendy. Of course, it's not the only time you've encountered the rozzers on a caching day.

The common theme seems to be the absence of GeoDog! matbe there's a lesson to be learned there...

Hmmm, you're quite right there MJ! In fact I was at an event today and saw two cyclists wearing fluorescent jackets and muttered, "Oh nooooo, not the rozzers, again" In fact t turned out not to be them, so all was well. :P

Now I recall, the a rozzer stopped me two weeks into my caching career, at a cache in Hyde Park! :)

This was one of the best logs that has fallen into my inbox in recent months!

I'm pleased that it all worked out ok, but that piece of paper is brilliant! Something totally innocent yet soooooo guilty in the wrong context! Thanks for sharing the experience!!

Fantastic story! Reminds me of the time I was spotted by an off duty policeman when I was dressed in black with a camoflage backpack searching for a cache in bushes in a church carpark!
