+WVRadar Posted October 6, 2008 Share Posted October 6, 2008 Lately I've noticed that the back button on my browser is not working all the time. If I click on the "Go to last unread" in a Forum Topic, once I have read through them and try to return to the Forum Topics screen, I am instead directed to the same page I was on (last unread). To return to the Forum Topics screen I must click on the heading at the top of the screen. Has the web site been changed to perform this way, or has a setting in my browser changed? I'm using Internet Explorer. Link to comment
+PJPeters Posted October 6, 2008 Share Posted October 6, 2008 It may be the browser. In the past, I've had to hit back twice (almost a double click) to get it from the last unread to the message list. Now, I don't have that problem, though I've switched browsers. Link to comment

I'm using Internet Explorer. It is likely you clicked on another link inside the thread. In which case, the back button behaved correctly. It took you to the previously clicked link, which was inside the same thread you were in. Link to comment

If I click on the topic title, the back button works correctly. Link to comment
+Corey Posted October 9, 2008 Share Posted October 9, 2008 The "last unread" button links to a URL with "getnewpost" in it, which redirects to the entry for the last unread post. Somehow it seems as though your browser is going back to that redirect instead of back to before the redirect. Link to comment
