benderwl Posted October 3, 2008 Share Posted October 3, 2008 So I loaded some topo maps and navigator and everything was going fine. Then the next day I when I turned the topo maps off I had no base map. I contacted Garmin and they had me do a few things like rebot the Oregon and reinstall the latest firmware. After that they had me check for a certain file gmapbmap.img that contains the basemap. Sure enough it is gone...... I asked Garmin if I could just download that file but they have not gotten back to me on that yet. Quote Link to comment

Garmin said the only way to get the base map back onto the unit was to have it sent in and they would send me another one. LAMO!! So luckly someone in this forum just sent me a link to the basemap that I could download. I did that reinstalled it and know my Oregon works fine. Quote Link to comment
