+AtlantaGal
A little too expensive for a group coin project. Most of these projects run around $5 to $7 per coin. Quote Link to comment

It's been a while since I've seen many $5 to $7 Geocoins. Please also remember these coins are 1.75 inch and have 5 cutouts and up to 10 letters of etching. Thanks, Eric Quote Link to comment
+MissAmerica1
Yeah I think the scooters were 300 bucks for 50 geocoins Quote Link to comment

+River Cacher
If anyone is into football or that has kids into football this is a great idea. For them to be able to personalize it for under 10.00 bucks each is a great thing. I am shocked to see the other post on thinking this is to much. Personalized and Trackable for under 10.00 bucks and you can choose the colors. Great idea on these. To bad i have 3 girls or these would be in X-Mas stockings for sure. I hope to see a bunch of lucky kids to have these to show off to the friends. AND IT COST UNDER 10:00 Quote Link to comment

AND IT COST UNDER 10:00 As has been noted, other group coins have gone for a bit cheaper and the same personalization, tracking, coloring etc have applied. I wish this project well, but fear the price will limit the participation! I cannot participate due to money woes, but again, wish you luck with this! I can have my own personal coin made for less than the price shown here...just for reference! Might not have the icon other than generic, but still.... A group project should be a bit less IMHO. +AtlantaGal
These are retail priced rather than the standard pricing that group projects receive Eric. I just did a group project where the coins were under $7 so I do speak from experience. Best to let C&P do this one without the middle man and then the coins would be more cost effective. +LadeBear68
I have to agree with AG. I have been part of three group projects with one being very difficult in my opinion and none of them were that expensive. It is too bad that they are so expensive because I wanted to order one for those grreat Nittany Lions. Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
It is too bad that they are so expensive because I wanted to order one for those grreat Nittany Lions. I was thinking the exact same thing! 5 and 0, woo-hoo! Edit added. You know rather than our caching names we could order the minimum with "Let's Go PSU!" I bet some other Penn Staters would buy a few, like maybe 5 each? Edited September 28, 2008 by AtlantaGal Quote Link to comment
+BrierPatch
Like that Idea... Love state Quote Link to comment

+Eric K
Just so you guys are aware. If as an example more than one of you want to go in on a 25 pack those coins can have different etchings on them. So you could have the same color but still have your coins personalized. Thanks, Eric Quote Link to comment
avroair
I think this is a great idea ~ shame there will be a Penn State version though. Quote Link to comment

+AtlantaGal
Well that's 20 for the PSU coins. I'm pretty sure we could get more people too. I don't want mine personalized. I kinda like Lets Go PSU! Quote Link to comment

+Eric K
Maybe Just Penn State? Penn State would not be acceptable. We aren't going to use in actual school names or NFL names. Thanks, Eric Quote Link to comment

Thanks, Eric Go PSU! Go PSU would work since it isn't actually a school name. :-) AG, will you be at Geocoinfest? Quote Link to comment

If there are enough of us to buy these helmets for PSU will you work up separate billing and shipping for each of us? Right now there are 4 of us at 5 coins each, but there are several other penn staters who have not seen this yet. Quote Link to comment

I'm looking forward to putting some faces to the names. Thanks, Eric Quote Link to comment
+WRITE SHOP ROBERT
I'm surprised to see the back so plain. Iwould expect to see the GeoCaching logo or something there. If screenprint on that side were available, the pesonalization could go a lot further and make them more worth the price. Although a $20 setup fee for the screen would add nearly a dollar per coin. These could be good for awards or events though. Quote Link to comment
+BrierPatch
I like that idea Quote Link to comment
+LadeBear68
How does one go about ordering as part of a group? I would like to order five of the helmets. Quote Link to comment

You still want 5 penn state helmets, right? There are 4 of us. We need at least 1 more person. I gotta get with dhenninger. I know he'd be in. How 'bout tonight's game? Quote Link to comment
+LadeBear68
Yup, still in, thanks. I know, first quarter scared me to death but they pulled it out. WE ARE PENN STATE!!! Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
What ever happened to this project. I'm still interested in getting 10 or so Penn State helmets made. Not sure about others in the original group. Quote Link to comment
