Croft House Cachers
I have got a very kind cacher in the USA donating a Lincoln county coin plus some other stuff. My only problem might be getting people to know it's on - we never have events here, so people aren't in the habit of looking at them, I think. Quote Link to comment
SkiBums (UK)
when did you order yours? Wonder if its to late now? I ordered mine on 19th September. They haven;t arrived yet, but tat that stage I don't think they were even made. I am unsure what the timescale is, perhaps you might get a more accurate estimate from the seller? Just checked the website and says they aren't expecting to receive PT's until 20/10. Shall I risk it and if they don't turn up just use them as swag? Oh decisions decisions!!! Quote Link to comment

Shall I risk it and if they don't turn up just use them as swag? Oh decisions decisions!!! Well the point is this, if they are not expected til 20/10 mine won't be there til then either I'd imagine. My last set of pathtags, which was a larger package (150) was posted in Michigan on 3rd October and was here on the 8th or 9th (I was away when they arrived). So hopefully, with the wind in the right direction, they will arrive in time. There is a healthy pathtag trading group and also they do make good swag, especially in micros. You could also send them out to people who attended your event if they arrive too late, but I am hoping they won't. Quote Link to comment
libertyjsy
I've risked it and ordered too. Ordered the trackable name badges too. Sue Quote Link to comment
SkiBums (UK)
Just had a email back from the Coin Store the path tags are in stock (only 5 sets left, once they are gone thats it). So I have ordered some. Only one set though so hope our mob doesn't exceed 19 (I'm keeping one for our team) Edited October 15, 2008 by skibumsuk Quote Link to comment
Croft House Cachers
I went to order some but they are all gone. Got a grand total of 8 people on the flashmob facebook page - I guess it doesn't help that none of my facebook 'friends' are cachers!! Quote Link to comment
Dorsetgal & GeoDog
I had a statement last evening to say my order had been shipped, so hopefully they will be here in plenty of time for the big day. Quote Link to comment

SkiBums (UK)
getting really fed up now ordered my Path tags at the same time as Sue (in Jersey) she got hers ages ago. I contacted the shop when they finally returned from holiday only to be told they had been shipped 28/10/08 (and not when they tolad me they would be). To date no sign of these blasted tags. Heres hoping the postie has something for me on Monday. Are you all organised and ready to MOB? Quote Link to comment
Croft House Cachers
Sort of organised - got 6 geocoins as prizes and some other bits, got my logbook sorted - have to sort out costumes for all the kids, hmmm whose stupid idea was it to dress up??? Oh yeah, it was me! My only concern is that it will be unbelievably cold and people will decide not to come out after all. Quote Link to comment
SkiBums (UK)
its only 15 mins of cold and if its only you there not much lost really although I forgot you are all going to be in costume, cann't wait for that photo Quote Link to comment
goldpot
For those who are attended the London WWFM we may get nicked under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005, Mob Rules so, perhaps we should make it 15 seconds! However, if we do get banged up I think we can rely on the Geocaching community to protest for our release ...can't we! Edited November 1, 2008 by goldpot Quote Link to comment

HazelS
Well.... It looks like Chester will be the place to be in terms of flash mobbing.... Chester Flash Mob.... and then the event afterwards in a local hostelry a short drive away.... So far, 36 teams have logged as attending the flash mob - gonna be a LOT of people wearing daft hats in Chester! Quote Link to comment
Croft House Cachers
A bit more modest here but we still expect 30-40 people which is fantastic as there's so few cachers around here and no previous meets that I'm aware of. Just about got it all sorted...jut my own costume to go and I'm done. Quote Link to comment
SkiBums (UK)
Surprise surprise still no pathtags, but lots of cachers attending and masses of TB's and GC's logged into the event Good luck and don't forget your photographs Quote Link to comment
SkiBums (UK)
I love Flash Mobs Had 37 cachers all desend in unison it was amazing standing in an empty bit of green space and then at 6pm they just all appeared. Lots of TB swaps and log signing and photos. Then onto a local for supps brilliant. When's the next one (and do you think I'll have my PT's by then?) Quote Link to comment
tman4591
Hope all the other events where as successful as the Wickford flash mob. Great to meet other local (& not so local) cachers on such a fun event & already looking forward to the next excuse to meet up & have a pint! Thanks to the skibums for organising & everyone else for making it enjoyable! Quote Link to comment
Croft House Cachers
I haven't counted up yet but reckon we had in the region of 60 cachers this evening - it was great fun and everyone's already talking about another meet so that's a real result. +Dorsetgal & GeoDog
Provisionally 57 in London but I think a few teams may have just signed and not put the amount in their team, so checking. The rain held off, fireworks went off all o and nippedround the corner to flash! LONDON WWFM IV Cachers from Sweden and The Netherlands also attended. Goldpot scared me witless! +Haggis Hunter
Still got to add up my figures but I had in the region of 50-60 cachers, most definitely 2 muggles right from the beginning that never had a clue what was going on and about an additional 20-30 bemused muggles left standing on their own at the end. Quote Link to comment
HazelS
Provisionally 91 last night in Chester.... Amanzing night!! The Cross is where lots of locals meet up and kids hang out etc, so there were lots of bemused looking locals!! Very good organisation, including food, and a raffle!!! Great night, then all on to another event a few miles away for food / drinks etc! Once Philpamandrob have done the final tally of numbers attending, I'm sure we'll let you know! Quote Link to comment

Haggis Hunter
Edinburgh walker has filmed the last couple of minutes of the Edinburgh event it can be viewed When you see me addressing people that you can't see, that is actually muggles walking up to the back of the crowd, the poor chap you see in the two tone jacket is also an unsuspecting muggle. I wonder what they all thought when we all walked off and left them standing?? Quote Link to comment

Due to prior commitments, I won't be able to run a London one, (hint, hint, situation vacant) but maybe it's time to wake up a few fellow Dorset folk to get 'em flashing Edited November 17, 2008 by Dorsetgal & GeoDog Quote Link to comment
