Go to the map page, then hit [Menu] and select "Setup Map". At the top, highlight the "string" icon, which is the second icon from the left, and then set your track log to "AUTO". Also, you want to make sure your track log is on, by going to the main menu and selecting "tracks".

Hymm, if you are recording tracks, you should be able to view them on the map. There is not on/off switch that I know of. There is an on/off switch to view saved tracks.

There are actually two switches. In the Saved Track properties for each track is a check box to view the track. And, in the Setup Map properties, there are zoom settings so you can adjust at what zoom level you want the track displayed. But, these apply only to saved tracks, or, maybe I just never noticed this last function applied to tracks being recorded? Take a look at your settings; mine are set up to display tracks zoomed out to 8 miles and below.

Yes there is .

Main menu, Tracks, Track Log on/off

The assumption was made that the track log was on and the reporting party could not view them on the map screen. That's how I read his/her question.

I recently purchased this Gps myself and you can change the color of the track to one more visible (the default is small black dashes) under Main menu- tracks- setup. It will change the color of your bread crumbs, not just saved tracks.
