+JSWilson64 Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Is there anyway to interface the 60csx with a laptop so I can navigate using the laptop? Garmin's software to do this is called NRoute - it's a free download on the Garmin website. Unless you have Garmin maps on the laptop, I think it just shows you on a base map. Microsoft Streets & Trips will work as well, iirc. Quote
+Team Chinook Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Yes. you need to change the settings in the Garmin to whatever your pc software supports. I believe it is NMEA instead of garmin, but it's been awhile so I can't recall. I used Streets and Trips 2006 on a PC and it will allow you to route; tell you when you are coming up to a POI, etc. Not a bad interface, there are others that might be as good or better and I've not tried the latest iteration. I was doing this with a III+ and their serial connector. Quote
Cape Cod 5 Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 I downloaded and installed nRoute and am using City Navigator. Does just what I wanted. Thanks for your help Quote
