Using a GPSr + PPC to play Wherigo

Does anyone currently use their GPS unit connected to their PPC via cable to play Wherigo?

 

Specifically I'm looking to connect a Dell Axim to a Garmin 60cx via a USB cable.

 

Or in other words (I think) I'm asking does Wherigo support Garmin's proprietary PVT positioning protocol?

I am pretty sure it won't work with USB - PPC's and GPS's are both USB slave devices - you need master/slave for USB to work.

HOWEVER - it should be possible with serial - if your PPC has serial capability.

I'm just getting up to speed on Wherigo - but I certainly will be trying this out myself.
