Last week my MyFinds PQ wouldn't run. But, finally did. Then this week it runs all by itself.:(;)

Yeah, so did mine. Bad timing, too. I had just done some caching and hadn't logged them yet.

I wonder, I had clicked on the "Add to queue" a couple of times last week because it didn't seem to "take" (it actualy did, but it took a while). Did it "save" those extra clicks?

Mine ran unexpectedly by itself too. Maybe it's "in queue" or something from all the times we clicked the button to run it?

If that's true some of us are all set for the next year.

But, it appears to run after 6 days, so if yours ran today (Saturday), next week it will probably run Friday, then Thursday, etc.

Hope there's a way to clear the cue. ^_^

Sounds right; I received My Finds PQ this morning. And I don't think I have any finds this week! I'm thinking I'll get one for each button click last week when they didn't appear to be running...... oh well.

When people ran it the last time did they perhaps get finger happy and press the submit button twice instantaneously? I think there might be a millisecond after the button is pressed before it becomes a greyed-out unavailable-for-a-time button.

Actually the last time I requested it, last weekend. I pressed the button and actually exited gc.com and waited for the email. Which never came. So, some 5-10 minute later I went back into GC.com and my PQ's. Checked the MyFinds, and the date hadn't changed and the button wasn't grayed out. Did a reload of the screen just for giggles and still the same. Pressed the button, some 5-10 minutes after the first time. The screen refreshed and the date was the same and the button wasn't grayed-out. So, I gave up.

The following morning there was my MyFinds PQ. OK. Maybe their server is being slow. Then this morning, 6 days later without requesting it, I find a MyFinds PQ in my inbox. Guess the second one from last weekend was run this morning.

Woke up this morning and had another My Finds file in my inbox. Hadn't clicked the button since last week when the files weren't getting delivered. I clicked it about 20 times every few minutes to see if it was working. Oh boy, I hope it didn't "queue" them all up. :D

happened to me too. last week when it didn't seem to be working and then showed up in the email late, all of July and part of August were missing! Today it was correct.

With a background in software development and software test, I always cringe when I see people repeatedly click a button. You never know what is going to happen. Even if it doesn't queue them up, it is still adding some load to the server.

So last week when I was reading about people doing just that, I tried an experiment.

I clicked the button. One click only. A few hours later, the query showed up.

Then I see this thread show up. I'm thinking, 'all their clicking is coming back to haunt them; I bet I don't get a new one because I only clicked once'.

Wrong. Mine ran by itself after 6 days. I guess the good news for those of you who clicked a lot is that they probably didn't all queue up. The bad news is there must be an actual site problem.
