I always thought the right way to be charitable was to do so silently and not shout from the roof tops about it :/ oh well I dont know whatever floats peoples boats really.

I dont think Mandy was shouting anything from the rooftop more likely she was showing the people who had contributed to the fund raising effort that she had in fact passed on the money she collected on their behalf

If charities didn't sometimes shout for their money they wouldn't get any. That's why you often see folk standing around in the rain shaking their tins to attract the attention of the people who would, in all honesty, rather they just went away and begged somewhere else.
