+klossner
Go to the geocaching home page. Click on "getting started." See "Easy Steps to Geocaching: 1. Register for a free account." Click the link and you're asked to enter a credit card number to start a premium membership. Oops. Link to comment
+webscouter.
That only happens if you are a premium member. When you are logged in they assume you want to extend your membership not create another free one. If you don't have an account and aren't logged in it will take you to the create a membership page. Keystone
1. Pretend you are brand new to the site, and you want to know how to get started. You wouldn't be logged in, because you don't have an account, right? 2. So, when you're logged out, try those links one more time. 3. Say "oops" again. Link to comment
+trainlove
Anybody notice that the legal mumbo jumbo at the bottom of the Membership page does not match any other page on geocaching.com? And that there are no links to anywhere else on the left of that page as there is everywhere else! The inconsistancy just screams out to me. As does the fact that there is a calendar in ones profile for geocaches, that works, but the ones for benchmarks and travel bugs do not work. the membership page: Copyright © 2000-2008 Groundspeak Inc.
