Hello to all! :)

WOW! I just saw John's posts... :P Great thing to do my friend!!! B)

1) 37 caches

2) Michigan & Ohio

3) 8 hours

4) Rod won by 3

Seat belts in cars and helmets for Bikes are things to protect us and not something bad!

Please wear your helmet if you are a biker, or fasten your seatbelt if you are driving!

It is better to cry for the damages in your vehicle than...others to cry for your loss!!!

*** Images taken with my mobile phone from an accident that happent 2 days ago in the ancient stadium area...a place near my house!

There were 2 young men and 3 young women in it! they were drunk, they were not wearing their seatbelts, they were speedy... but God was with them and rotected them! None died! Only small injuries... the co driver hurt his head and the driver broke his arm!

If you see clearly, you will realise how lucky was the driver! The stiring weel is off, the door is inside... and I do not know why.... not of the airbags opened!!!!

Two of these answers are CORRECT!!!! And you know what, two of these answers are REALLY REALLY close....I mean REALLY close! :)

Can I ask, how on earth was that person riding a bike with a broken arm?? Which arm? Must have had use of his clutch hand...right? (would be his left).

Rod, the drivers broken arm wasthe right one!!! Nothing hapent to him on his left side!!!! I do not know how he did that! Nothing in the area the car was hidden and he broke his right hand??

According to what I heard, they couldn't take them out of the car! It was very difficult!!!

If you see the stiring wheel, it is broken and it turned on the right! Most probably it traped the driver's hand and broke it! they are going very fast!!! there are no signs or brakes on the road.... nothing at all!!!!

I heard that they tried to pass an other car with spead... and they were drunk, so...

I do not know... from one side, thank God they are ok, but when I was told that they saw the driver today riding his motorcycle without a helmet (unfortunatelly this is often here! :) ), and with his right hand broken.... I.... :P

We have ourselves a WINNER!!! We found EVERY cache we went after that day, we aborted a search on two of them for reasons I can't remember (when I say aborted, I mean we got to the parking area and opted not to go). Our search started in Michigan in a nearby cemetery and ended in Ohio at a pretty distant cemetery! We found our first cache at 11am and our last one was at 7pm and, although I counted 14 finds called BOTH, I did outfind KAboom by 2, 12-10! I thought KAboom had won until I counted them up...

OK, coin info coming soon, and the coin and all other coins I am holding will be given to Sally tomorrow afternoon!!!!

Now, please continue to post safety phrases until I get back in from working on the well (a few more hours) and I will then choose our second winner!!!!

CONGRATS Nikos, well done! THANKS to all who participated in this and all cointests, you keep it fun!!

I want to add a thought as well...

When we found that last cemetery's trail leading in, I mentioned to KAboom how similar it was to one of the very last caches we had found with Tod. That cemetery was also down a very hidden lane which brought us out to a fairly nice cemetery, we had spent a bit of time there reading the stones and such while a bad thunderstorm rumbled on overhead. The trees were thick, so we didn't get wet very much even though it was raining (this was the cache we had found with Tod). We took a few minutes to reflect on that, and I mentioned how it was "good times". The memory brought back a lot of memories of Tod and us having our adventures in the woods or on the mountains, I reflected a LOT while KAboom was signing the logbook. While KAboom was pretty fond of Tod, he only knew him for about 7 years whereas I knew him MUCH longer (more than 20 years I would say, but can't recall for certain), so the loss really didn't affect KAboom quite as much as it did me...

I can think of my friend now without the tears...mostly...although I am teary eyed right this moment thinking about it all. This is a good thing. I hope that, some day, I can visit his grave and not come away a total wreck, but hey, small steps!

Rod,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your grief with us.

In a one-on-one context, I generally just listen to grief stories without speaking... but in that setting, there is non-verbal feedback. In this case, you don't have the benefit of non-verbal feedback, so I feel the need to simply respond.

Small steps... and take all the time you need.

Peace,

Jon

WOW! I won??? :) Thank you!!! :P

Wow I was so close in the post you gave the hint!!!

Safety phrase:

Would you go to work completely nude?

Would you go for a swimm wearing a knight armor???

Would you feel nice by walking in the desert without shoes?

Would you like to go to war wearing only your swimming suit??

No....???

Then why you are not properly dressed while you are on your bike???

Why you are not wearing your helmet???

Every item we have is for a special reason! they were made to pretect us and make us feel safe and secure!

Last night I saw a kid riding his bike home from school. He was in the shoulder, traveling with traffic, wearing a helmet.

Why do I mention it?

Because the straps on his helmet weren't fastened. If he went flying off his bike, one of the first things to happen would be his helmet flying off his head.

Wear your helmet... wear it properly.

6) Coins MUST be posted here upon release so I can watch them travel, I will put all coins on watchlist! Coins MUST be posted here before 10pm Sept 30th (eastern standard time...or my time), any coin NOT listed on time will be disqualified. NO coin can be listed until it is successfully dropped into a cache, so waiting until the last minute is NOT in your best interest! :)

Another quick clarification question:

I currently have 11 TWRII coins in my possesion which I 'dipped' into an unpublished cache that I use for my geocoin collection so that they will have accurate mileages on them. Some of the coins are mine and some are newly activated coins which I donated to others in the race. Due to work schedules I will not be able to actually drop them into caches until next week when I am heading to GCF. In the past I have usually 'dipped' TWR coins in and out of a number of different caches while keeping them in my possesion until I can find a 'safe' cache to leave them in. Will these coins be disqualified or will I need to actually leave them in a cache before the deadline? Or can I drop them into an actual published cache and then retrieve them from that cache until I am on the road to GCF?

Take A Sec Double Check!!!

The Ride is Intoxicating Enough, Don't Drink and Ride!!!

You Drink.

You Ride.

You Crash.

You Die.

Your Brother-In-Law gets Your Bike.

Bummer!

LAST DAY PEOPLE!! Get those coins in and dropped before it's too late! We've seen a good amount of coins entered, but room for MANY more!! Remember, a 2007 LACKEY is the top prize with MANY more coins being added to the prize "table". Many winners will be awarded in this race, so don't miss out on the joy of watching your coin race along, your chance at some great prizes and best of all, your chance to help make the roads safer!!

When all coins are entered, I will go through the list and assure I have ALL coins on my watchlist...and I encourage others to do the same. Watching all these coins (I have around 700 or so on my watchlist so far) is AWESOME, I get some great posts!! :P

THANKS to all who have joined in and GOOD LUCK!!

Ooops....meant that for the other thread, but it's good here too! I will choose the winner of the safety message right now and then award the coins so the winners can activate and enter them in the race. Remember, any coin I award before the deadline is EXEMPT from the dropping deadline and will count for the race. NO coins will be awarded past the deadline.

I will also answer any questions I have not yet...JohnMac! :)

While a bit outside the guidelines, I feel I can trust you and ANYONE else who would like to do this. I know many of us do pick up TBs and take them on trips, so this isn't too far out-of-bounds anyway. PLEASE though, make the final drop ASAP! Anyone else wanting to carry a dropped coin may do so as well, but let's make sure we are doing this fairly!!

THANKS!! :P

Common sense... the most important piece of safety equipment... don't leave home without it.

There were a LOT of great safety phrases, I liked them ALL! However, I think this one jumped out at me right after it was posted and I was pretty sure it would be the winner. And guess what, IT IS!!

CONGRATS. my friend, coin info coming very soon!!
