Just as I was getting back onto the highway, I saw a cat chasing something in the grass of the center median. I was in the middle of nowhere(not near houses) so I thought that was unusual. I saw a cat in the center median after my break(a small calico) 5. I saw 2 motorcycles during the drive 6. There's no way to know how many motorcycles I "Missed" (PostorJon was on the right track, but in that guess he posted an official answer of "zero"). It was a trick question. 7. On the CB, the man is advertising Wheel/Fuel Tank polishing. There are guys that do this at lots of larger truck stops, or in larger cities. I'm guessing they don't pay taxes on the income?? 8. My 10 year old nephew Dalton got the privilege of being the first to ride her. They both did fantastic and had a blast! Since we only had 3 entries I wrote all three names down, crumpled them up, put them in a bowl, and had my son draw one. The winner is GATOULIS! Congrats! I took the day off work today to go caching with my 8-yr-old one more time before he goes back to school. We found 2 of them, and then the skies opened up. Se we had lunch, and it was still raining, so we came home. Mommy had just put our 13-month-old to bed, so we laid down for a nap as well. Now that we got up, the skies are clear again. Figures. We already planned to move our caching day until tomorrow. Anyhow...after my nap, I checked the mail, and there was a lovely bubble-mailer from Roddy! A TWR glow coin has been sent to me. I understand the need of keeping a family together-- but here's a tip: Cyclists should consider visibility issues when stopping to wait for others in their group. The top of a hill is probably the worst place to stop... since the cars can't see if it's safe to pass you or not. PAY ATTENTION, save a life Quote

It was just after dark and I was driving down the road I live on when this kid came flying out of a motel parking lot and right in front of me, I only missed him by about 2 feet. No helmet of course. I slammed on the brakes and hit the horn which earned me his finger in return. I wish there was some way I could have contacted his parents. PAY ATTENTION, save a life! Quote

I was driving my truck on a curvy road... came over a hill to see a car meeting me (partly in my lane) to pass a (properly positioned) jogger who was running toward him, in his shoulder. My attention drawn toward the jogger and the car (who should have waited to pass, since they couldn't see over the hill), I didn't see the (improperly positioned) jogger, running on my side of the road, in my direction. I have no idea how close I came to hitting her... the problem is, she has no idea how close I came to hitting her, because she couldn't see me... running the wrong way. It could have been a perfect storm of an accident... fortunately for all involved, it wasn't. PAY ATTENTION, save a life! Quote

But the other day I ran across a website that explained why it was safer (primarily because of turning cars and such) for them to ride with traffic and it made perfect sense. I think it is too long for a racer, isn't it? From the one, I didn't get an email yet, but I see that they are not caching a lot and it is been a while since their last visit in the site, so.. it is ok! I got an email from the other geocacher! Unfortunately the coin is probably lost! He thought that he had droped it but he doesn't know where it is! He still hopes he will find it or the coin will show up! He searched his bags, boxes etc, but nothing! I can only hope he will find it! I will not put it as missing yet! I do not think it is correct! Who knows, I may see an other mirracle after the other racer coin I owned and it was stollen and then entered the race again! PAY ATTENTION,, save a life!!! Quote

One of my original TWR coins has over 10,000 miles but most of those were from one person who held it for a little while and dipped it into one cache in each country he went to. The shoulders are wide and function as a bike lane. There's really only one or two shops in our town, and a little strip mall with a grocery store, CVS, bank, etc. There was a line of traffic behind one vehicle that was turning left into the store... and most of the line was waiting patiently behind them... except for the one yahoo who was in too much of a hurry... and pulled out into the bike line to go around her... nearly wiping out the cyclist traveling in the bike lane.
