If it were anywhere near here I guarantee several cachers would be in a race to get the FTF!!! we desert folks are a little slower and it is getting hot. almost 100 today. ROLLING STOPS KILL, PAY ATTENTION We have some huge FTF hounds here. One got up in the middle of the night and drove 3.5 hours to get to catch the first fery to an island where a bunch of caches had been published the night before. He knew there weren't any cachers on the island. I couldn't believe he did that. If there is a cache published within 5 miles of my house I might go for it but if its more than that there is no way I could get there fast enough.... When I was new, my brother and I took a 200 mile all night trip just to get a TB Racer to the finish line. And we both had to work the next day(if I remember right). I think I got home at 6am and grabbed about three hours sleep. Quote

The owner posted a note saying that if he finds any info about the coin he will update it... what shall I do? shall I put the coin in unknown place and write stollen?? I also sent some emails to cachers who are keeping coins for a long time! How much time I have to wait if a geocacher will drop my coin until I send him an email? I am saying that becasue there are coins that are being kept from April 11, April 14, April 22, April 26... I also have 2 coins that are in caches for a long time too! One from March 24 and the other from January 23! what shall I do? who I have to contact to see if the coins are still there? shall I write a note in the cache page? Sorry for posting all these! We went out to get more of the kayak cache ready, it's taking a LOT more work than I intended it to, but it'll be a good one! The quick kayak cache is near done as well, just need to place the stages! I didn't realize kayaking was such a good workout, the cardio and the toning qualities are an added bonus....if I live through all this! lol I want to do a few LHD cointests, but may not get to that until after the event?? Will try to work on it though! I know Opalsns' brother wants to do one, so we'll have that! Also, I know I need to get the winner of the last one figured out, I might get a second to do this tonight....HOPEFULLY!! I'm going to need a vacation when this is over, and I know I said I was going to GW....but maybe not??? I just don't know anymore! We went out to get more of the kayak cache ready, it's taking a LOT more work than I intended it to, but it'll be a good one! The quick kayak cache is near done as well, just need to place the stages! I didn't realize kayaking was such a good workout, the cardio and the toning qualities are an added bonus....if I live through all this! lol I want to do a few LHD cointests, but may not get to that until after the event?? Will try to work on it though! I know Opalsns' brother wants to do one, so we'll have that! Also, I know I need to get the winner of the last one figured out, I might get a second to do this tonight....HOPEFULLY!! I'm going to need a vacation when this is over, and I know I said I was going to GW....but maybe not??? I just don't know anymore! Oh, and it's supposed to rain about 1"to 2" Wednesday afternoon and night...NICE! That should really make for great muddy camping/caching!! I am talking about racer coins that I have! Nikos Here's what I do. If the coin is in a cacher's hand and its been a month or less I don't worry. When it gets to be about 2 months then I send a polite email. If the coin has been in a cache for a long while as your have I check all the logs to see if there is a mention of it. If no mention I then contact the cache owner to see if they can check it for me. Also I check to see if the cache has been found recently. A note on the cache page would help to so that maybe the next finder would check for you. I started to go through my list of coins and got discouraged when I started to se that several were missing.......One has two holes drilled in it and a geocoin buddy tag hooked to it by cable. Now who in the world would want that one? But somebody did because it went missing.... Quote

At first I was not a fan of the copy coin travellers, after some loses, I started understanding the cachers who are protecting their coins, now I am thinking to do the same!
