GREAT IDEA, Robert!! A quick look told me there are some out there with more than 17 though....

 

I'll add a bit of a side here: I saw at least one coin which had visited a cache I had visited, brought by a visitor I know! First person to name this can have a coin for the race!! YOU MUST POST thename of the coin, the TB# and the person who had the coin! As I said, more than one might have done this, so MY WORD is king here, find the one I am talking about!

First Question...

Find a "Todie's Wild Ride" Coin that has had the most "Discover" logs. Post your answer here.

 

Does This mean retrieved logs also or does it mean total records?

 

The logs will either be grabbed, retrieved, or discovered, you want only the ones which are discovered. This means you'll need to look through the coins to find logs which note which is which!!

 

On my part of the cointest, remember that I must know the cacher (which likely means the cacher in question is from Michigan)...in this case, it does!

For my question...

 

There are different kinds of logs...Grabbed, Retrieved, Dropped, Note, and Discovered.

 

This round will count only "Discovered" logs. It is likely that we will have gone through the entire list before I get back to Salt Lake City, and therefore will have posted the Coin that actually has the most, but I will still wait to pick the winner...There's no telling when a Coin may go to an event and get a bunch more discoveries.

I think a good question for a spot would be: " Where is Robert going to do his hardest to be at on May 02, 2009?" :antenna:

I wish the answer was what you want it to be. I'm going to schedule my next time off in MI for LHDIII, and they are so close together that I cannot request both times off(which also means that GW7 it pretty much out of the running too). If they can send me that way, it'll be great, but the odds are not good.

Right now I am leaning toward letting it count, since this is not an official part of the race statistics, and the purpose is to get you all reading those Coin pages, instead of just guessing what I'm doing these days. Those with 17 could end up with more by the time I check the winner, so all is not lost yet.

Good morning everyone!! I will sort through the answers to see if anyone has guessed my coin yet, it'll be later as I have much to do this morning!! Still too cold for work full time, but I will be workig this afternoon (fairways need mowing), maybe I'll get time to check after that!!

Imagine, a coin started here for the Todie's Wild Ride ending up in a friend's hands, he then making a trip all the way across the USA to a cache I had visited when we had first started caching...who'd have thought!!

 

This cache was really memorable, but not only for the cache....it cost me around $700 to get this cache!!

No no, read my log for the cache!! I don't gamble, going to Vegas is never for gambling (unless with my life lol), I like to climb mountains and walk the trails!!

No no, read my log for the cache!! I don't gamble, going to Vegas is never for gambling (unless with my life lol), I like to climb mountains and walk the trails!!

 

I can sympathize with you on that also. I bought a new GMC pickup In 07 another pickup backed out of a parking spot and creased the right rear fender no problem his insurance fixed it. Then two weeks later going to a cache near the Arkansas River I managed to get to close to an embankment with a chunk of metal sticking out, You guessed it same fender and nearly the same dent and crease. This one on me. Cost over $1200 just to get that cache!!! The cache not memorable but the Trouble I got into from the wife priceless.

OK, I'll be having my next drawing soon. There are 26 emails in the folder.

 

Here's a new series to work on that should take us a while. There will be several prizes in these games, and they will each be in a different category. The Prize Coins will be "Special Look Twice Coins"(keepers, not adoptions) which are only available from me, not for sale yet(may be sold later, who knows).

First Question...

Find a "Todie's Wild Ride" Coin that has had the most "Discover" logs. Post your answer here.

The answer should be in this format...

"TB2BJCT has had Two Discoveries"

Here are some rules...

1. You can post ANYONE's Coin as an entry.(It doesn't have to be your own coin, in fact, you can enter even if you don't have any coins in the race)

2. The Coin you enter cannot be one that YOU have Discovered.

3. Any edited post does not count.

4. Only ONE entry per day per person.

5. I reserve the right to post new rules as questions arise.

 

This should look like a Bidding War, where the next entry will have more Discover logs than the last entry.(there's no sense in entering a Coin with five if someone else has already entered one with seven).

Picking the winner...

At the end of the round I will go and verify the winning bid and if it is correct, then it will win. That does not mean that no other Coins have more Discoveries, but just that the winner was the highest one listed as an entry. I should be headed back to Salt Lake City after this load. Once I am there, I will eventually end up at my favorite Coffee Shop, and will determine the winner of this round at that time. Future rounds will each have their own deadilne.

 

These Games will require all the players to go and look at the logs of many/all the Todie's Wild Ride Coins, and pay attention to what you see there. As you do so, look at other details to keep in mind for the next rounds. I will not announce in advance what detail to look for next. What you are looking for may get more detailed/dificult as we progress.

I was asked how to add a clickable link to the coin page, I started to reply with a guess, but I tried it in the middle of the email and this coin is the one I practiced on...my first fancy work done to a coin page!! I knew it worked on the cache page, so I tried it here too!! Anyone needing to know how can email me!!

I would have to agree, a traveling coin! But, Robert set this one up, so he might see it differently!

Rod, I think you should keep your set, since I will have an extra set that I can donate...But if you INSIST on donating your set, then I will Gift you an extra set(which you will be required to keep, since it was a gift!!!).

Nice job on the link Rod! We'll turn you into an HTML wiz in no time... :laughing:

 

If you want to dress up your pages a little more here is some HTML code that is similar to what I use on my coin pages. I have changed the mission in the code to the mission that you have on your coins page. You can change the colors for the background and the font just by putting in whatever color name you would like instead of the colors in the code below. All you have to do is copy the code below and paste it into the current goal on your coins page. This code also has a link back to this forum topic!!!

Or if anyone else wants to use a table on a coin page here is the code I use. Just enter your own mission where it says 'Enter mission to display here'. You can change the colors to suit you just by changing the word 'white' to whatever color you would like for the background of your table and by changing the word 'green' to whatever color you would like the text color to be. Just make sure that you have the quotation marks around the colors or it will not work.

If you would like to make any text BOLD, just enter the following HTML tag in front of the text you want to be BOLD, make sure that you have the closing tag following the text that you want to show up as BOLD or else any text following the tags will be BOLD.

<b>This text will be bold,</b>This text will not be bold

The outcome of this line of code would look like this:

This text will be bold, this text will not be bold

 

To make your text appear in ITALICS, use the following HTML tags.

<i>This text is in italics, </i> and this text is not in italics

The outcome of this line of code would look like this:

This text is in italics, and this text is not in italics

 

You can combine BOLD and ITALICS for the same text also just by using the same tags like this

<b><i>This is bold and italics</i></b> and this isn't

This would look like:

This is bold and italics and this isn't
