Reserving a caching location --- Is it possible?

It must be published to be reserved.

This is not a correct answer.

Yes, it is possible to "reserve" a spot or spot for a cache or caches that you're working on. A good example would be a series of ten caches set up to be "time released" on the day of an event cache. The owner hides the caches weeks in advance. It would sure mess things up if someone else hid a cache near one of the new caches, possibly messing up something like a "solve the mystery" cache game or a poker run.

You can't abuse this feature, however, by reserving an entire new park while you await its opening, or by reserving 50 spots for six months.

To reserve a spot without having the cache reviewed, create your cache page, disable it, and post an explanation in a reviewer note. (Example: "This cache is pending approval by the state park office.") Enable your listing when it's ready for review.

I hope that this explanation is helpful.
