+qrang Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I see that Enigma: Mission 1 (GCHP2X) has now been archived. I guess this means the demise of another of the classic UK cache series. What serious challenge multi caches will still remain? I can understand why. The final cache in this series has only been done once in 2008. It seems that these days everyone wants to rush and do easy power trails - see the buzz over The Chiltern Hundred - but there is no market for really provoking quality caches. In my day...... Quote
+gazooks Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 luckily I've done that one but still got 2 to do - I hope they last a bit longer ... Quote

Are you sure that's the reason? There have been 7 attempts on the "Mission 1" cache this year which isn't bad. I have some long-winded caches that are rarely found once the initial rush is over, but I don't lose sleep over it. Anyway, there are still plenty of "challenge" caches about if you look. Have you looked at Birdman's Lists: could be useful if you're after "quality" caching, depending on your own idea of "quality". Quote

Thanks for the pointer to Birdman's lists. Looks like you have some quality caches on the IOM so I will have to schedule a visit. I've been meaning to come over for some time so some excellent caching should swing the decision. Quote
