Seems to be two forums for Scotland: http://geofrees.org/Forum/index.php http://geox.easyphpbb.com/index.php From what I can see Geofrees seems a little more 'active' Quote
tonythelost1 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I am new to geocaching and would like to join a group but I am having trouble finding any information about groups in my area. I live in Sutton Surrey any help would be gratefully recieved Quote
+E4S Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) www.yorkshirecaching.co.uk Looks like this group has died a bit......the link does not work and you get a Facebook page, but the last entry on that page dates back to 2012 Any one still caching in Yorkshire? +pajo30 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Any Stoke on Trent or Staffordshire groups? Quote
+ivanidea Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Any Stoke on Trent or Staffordshire groups? There is a Staffordshire Cachers group on Facebook. And they have an event each month (SOS - Stafford or Stoke). Edited February 27, 2015 by ivanidea Quote
+ColwynMagpie Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Any groups for North Wales? Particularly in Conwy or Denbighshire? I've tried geocachingwales.com but it's pretty dead and I'm mainly looking for groups/societies. Quote
paul-Kent Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 It appears that life is very Facebook orientated these days, I for one don't have an account nor will I join. I'm sure I am not alone but it makes looking for forums for this and many other things a struggle these days Quote
+Maple Leaf Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Any for Thanet/Kent Have a look at the GAGB website - there is a whole page of regional groups (forums and facebook) http://gagb.org.uk/regional-links.php Quote

So, if you live North of the English Channel and West of the North Sea, yer in! We're having regular roaming monthly meets, which all are of course welcome to, and have just completed our first year of active service If you are in the area, sign up to the forums and get along to a meet - thanks to the efforts of those in the area, we now have a cache series, a NW Geocoin, custom log books, custom waterproof cache stickers, custom embroidered t-shirts, a travel bug race and more. The forums are pretty daft with a healthy dose of Off Topic to keep us sane...ish! Dead Link. Quote

These days, Facebook seems to have the majority of geocaching groups. Quote
+green_words Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Is there a separate organization for the Channel islands or is it part of the UK orgs? Quote

There is the UK FB group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/geocachinguk some Islanders are in that group and people on there may well be able to answer any questions you have, that's a fairly busy group. There's a regular monthly meet for Berkshire cachers on the second Thursday of each month - check events for details. Bucks/Beds/Herts also have regular meets as do the Oxon cachers. [] These forums went a long while ago, but there is a facebook group which can be found by clicking here Quote
