I would suggest that you place a 'watch' on all the caches that you have found. When you get the e-mail that someone found it, go see who it is. Send them an e-mail saying congrats and that you found it also. It is a nice ice breaker and a great way to make new friends. See the below log - We all do 'stupid' things alone at times. Be safe - have fun Watchdog2020 Log Entry Quote Link to comment

+KG1960
Also, see if there is a geocaching club in your area. The one I'm in here has get-togethers every so often at local restaurants - easy to meet fellow cachers there. These are usually published as events. Do a search for your local zip code. +K7CJS
I just emailed someone in my area who had placed alot of caches. She was more than happy to help me - took me around for a full half day. We are now caching buddies. Most will be happy to help you get going. Quote Link to comment

One thing you can do is become a voracious log reader of caches in your area. It's pretty easy to get a sense of who the local cachers are and since every log has the date, name (as a link to their profile) and number of finds for each geocacher, you can get an idea of who the other geoecachers are in the area with a similar number of finds, and thus might have the same caches on their "to be found" list. +mailgirl1978
I'm glad you asked this because I'm having the same problem! I wish we lived in the same area and we could partner up! Thanks everyone for the ideas! Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Also if there is an event in your area, be sure to attend. You can meet a lot of people that way. Quote Link to comment
