Etrex Venture HC

While deleting found caches from the calendar, our Venture HC (Purchased in November 2007) turns itself off right after I hit "Yes I want to delete this." This started today. More specifically, the screen will fade away. I turn it back on and it works fine, until I delete another one. Any solutions?

 

EDIT: I just determined that if I delete them out of the 'find waypoints' page it won't turn off. But it does in the Calendar.

Mine does this occasionaly, though not sure if there is a specific "causal action". New batteries normally does the trick, even if you think you've just used fresh ones.

My Vista HCx does that too. 98% of the time it does it when deleting a waypoint on subsequent pages.

 

What I do is change the icon to one not already in use; then, when I'm done, I delete all waypoints with that icon.

I have a etrex Venture HC that I bought a week ago and it's running great. But it could just be firmwear and softwear upgrades.

 

No problems yet.
