snatiep
Hello everyone! How can I view the caches on google earth that I have downloaded? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Google Earth will open GPX files. Just open the files directly in the program. Quote Link to comment
NightTracker
Under "my account" on the geocaching.com website, look on the right hand side of the page and you will see "download geocache browser in google earth". If you save this file to your own pc it will NOT update automatically. For new caches you have to reopen the file periodically. Quote Link to comment
snatiep
Thanks for the help! Do I have to click on caches on the geocaching.com website I want to have displayed on google earth? Quote Link to comment
NightTracker
nope, when you open the file in google earth, all the geocaches around the world will show up. If you want to see the cache page of a certain geocache then just click on the cache icon. It helps if you login to your account first and click "remember me on this pc". That way when you open the cache page of a geocache you don't have to relogin everytime. Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Be aware that with the Geocaching KML in Google Earth, the locations of the caches are approximate and are not designed to be exact. Quote Link to comment
