+Idahogreggory Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I all ready have Garmin's version 3.0 Topo and Topo 2008 maps but I was wondering if anyone has either built or found any better (more accurate with better trails) Topo maps for Idaho? Quote
ryleyinstl Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Trails only..... http://www.switchbacks.com/maps/NW_Trails.html You can run these on top of the 2008 Topo maps. Quote
ryleyinstl Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 If you’re looking for more accuracy you could try the Ibycus maps as a base (water data is much better and depending on your county so is the road data) and over lay your own elevation data. I have been doing this for MO and it’s working great. Make your own elevation data….. http://home.cinci.rr.com/creek/garmin.htm Quote
+Night Stalker Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I have National Geographics Topo for Idaho, but that means you have to print out the area you want to hike in. It also costs $100 per state so it can get a bit expensive. Quote
-Oz- Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 If you want to make your own I finished a tutorial that details how to do it. (see signature). The NW trails are nice and I'd include them in a map of Idaho if I was making one (there are other states on my list first including New Mexico, maybe Alabama, Oregon and at some point at least parts of Alaska since I'm moving there).
