HELP REQUIRED ORGANISING A LONDON-BASED TREASURE HUNT

I've been contacted by a London-based organisation, who want advice on setting up a GPS-based treasure hunt in Central London. If anyone can help with this please get in touch with me either through this site or via the GAGB.

If this is some kind of one-off all-day event, then the first piece of advice I would give to the organisation behind this would be to have a friendly chat with the police. I don't like to think what could go wrong if a bunch of scruffy individuals start hopping from place around the centre of town peering at electronic gadgets, photographing landmarks to prove where they were, and talking animatedly on their phones. Maybe getting arrested will be as bad as it gets. (Of course, the person in the story was asking for it, he had a French accent )

Update.

 

Myself and Master Mariner are in contact with the charity and we will be having a meeting with them late in August.

 

The possible treasure-hunt will be next year, as more information is available we will keep you all posted on the GAGB forum.
