canadianguy
I’m returning the Magellan Triton 400 tomorrow for one thing Canada Ontario topo isn’t available because of credit card scam here in Canada so the 3rd party software company that Magellan subs to isn’t taking any Canadian Credit cards, Secondly the wife and myself took it caching today we knew areas of caches so didn’t need a map to find them but used the other features on the 400 here are some things we observed compass does move if your not moving faster than 0.5 klm and there isn’t a countdown to the cache (we looked on all the pages on the unit) we walked till we went passed the flags I set on the 400 then backtracked. So I’m in the market again I would want one for geocaching, hunting, fishing and for when we are on the road (later not that important) I have spare sd card here so must be able to take one of those also remember Magellan are out and a price range of up to $300 . Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
QuigleyJones
I would recommend a garmin Vista HCx or 60CSx Quote Link to comment
+peto_geo
I would highly recommend a refurbed (looks perfectly new) Delorme PN-20 from TigerGPS.com. I bought one of these and it's been awesome for caching. Just another possibility! Quote Link to comment
+embra
The Delorme PN-20 is a nice package, but primarily if you're in the states. Delorme doesn't have maps for Canada. Quote Link to comment
+peto_geo
Yes, your right Embra. I should have read the post a little better. My bad. Still an awesome GPS for the states. Hopefully one day Delorme produces something for Canada. Quote Link to comment
