+KBI
I think the problem is coming from your Caps Lock key. Quote Link to comment

+ma&pa kettle
tried the latest update of winzip...no love. Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Perhaps this is a Vista-specific issue? I use GSAK to open those zipped PQs just fine...without WinZip. Quote Link to comment
+ma&pa kettle
i figured out that i have to click off the tick box for zip files and do it " the old fashioned way" can't use the zip feature anymore. Quote Link to comment
+WRASTRO
Vista works fine for me with the zip file. Drag it to the GSAK icon and viola! You must have some setting that is being cranky. Quote Link to comment
+gmcpower98
Mine worked fine last night. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
2 points here. 1. Vista and XP do not need the aid of a 3rd party program to unzip files. Both OSs can unzip files all by themselves - near automatically. 2. If you are using GSAK - you need not unzip as the program will open the files directly from the zip file. Quote Link to comment
+WebChimp
2. If you are using GSAK - you need not unzip as the program will open the files directly from the zip file. In the current version, yes....... Didn't the older version require it to be unzipped first? Quote Link to comment
+markandsandy
I've had the same problem, using XP. The zip files appear to be corrupted if more than 100-200 caches in them, can't be unzipped in or out of GSAK. I just switched to non-zipped PQ's. Quote Link to comment

I never noticed an announcement about that fix, but I do know that GSAK used to error out when I tried to use file associations from a Windows compressed folder (aka: zip file) but it now works. +Team Geofrog
I would advise using 7Zip. It is open source and MUCH better than win zip any day . To answer your question, no, I haven't had a problem. Quote Link to comment
+Thrak
I have never done a file associaton of any kind for GSAK as far as .zip files go. I have always just dragged the zipped file into the lower pane of GSAK and dropped it there. It has always opened up automagically in whatever version of GSAK I was running at the time - from old versions to the latest version. I've never had to manually unzip the file. Quote Link to comment
