+SYOTT
I'm sure it's already been stated in the forums, SOMEWHERE, but I'd like to know if travelling caches are even allowed anymore. There can be a set lat/long as its "home coordinates" just in case the cache goes MIA. I read the guidelines and I see nowhere saying that travelling caches are not allowed... can anyone shed some light on this? Quote Link to comment

Existing ones have been grandfathered in. We had one around here until about a year ago that gave us a lot of fun. It was sad to see it go. Quote Link to comment

Dinoprophet
Under Cache permanence: When you report a cache on the Geocaching.com web site, geocachers should (and will) expect the cache to be there for a realistic and extended period of time. Therefore, caches that have the goal to move (“traveling caches”), or temporary caches (caches hidden for less than 3 months or for events) most likely will not be published. Quote Link to comment
