+lrosell Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Help! Brain dead geocacher here! I want a really neat spot 4 my cache, but i cant decide where 2 put it? Need Advice! A friendly advice: go find a few more first. The more you find the more (and maybe better) ideas you will get about where and how to hide your won cache. Good luck! Quote
+StarBrand Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Think parks, woods, trails, green spaces, historic areas, little known spots, spots with a view etc... Check with local hiders about permission issues, rules and regulations for your area. Read and then re-read the geocaching guidelines until you are certain your hide fits nicely. Quote
+wapahani Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 When I place caches, *under this account*, I have tried to make them historic in nature. out of the 3 out now, 2 are and 1 is in a way. The final cache will be historic too. Its Mrs. Wapahani's idea/suggestion. Just be prepared to move a cache if needed! Quote
+Snake & Rooster Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 If it is in the suburbs or urban, try a pretty park or at least with something that other cachers will find new and interesting. If rural, how about a nice mountain top, waterfall, overlook, or again, someplace that people will want to visit and remember. These places are always welcome. We don't really need another lamp post, newspaper rack, dumpster, transformer box, etc, do we? Of course, this is just my opinion. That and $3 will get you a cup of coffee. Quote
