I don't mean to sound like a sour puss, but how is posting funny photos got anything to do with geocoins? I had a good chuckle, but something like this really belongs in the off topic forums. :(

 

I understand some people have nothing better to do than continuously post and feel these forums are their only outlet for joy :) But some of us actually come in here to buy and trade geocoins, what a novel thought. :D I don't use these forums for relaxation, that's what the off topic forums are for. :)

 

I don't mind coin tests with relevance to geocoins, but if we continue to have such off topic threads the coin tests will probably be banned and locked.

I don't have a photo to post, But I will LOL if one of these two above posts are the winner!!! HaHaHa.

WOW! The cointest is over? I thought it was until Thursday, not Wednesday!

Oh....and I had about 1240 photos to post for today! :D:(:)

Congratulations to the winner!!!! :) Thank you geo.error for the funny cointest! It make my day, and that was good!

Yesterday was not a good day for me, and you cointest helped me feel better! :D

Some people know how to suck all the FUN out of life guess they have nothing better do to but complain

Not sure where the FUN was in posting a bunch of photoshopped pics all in the name of wining a coin is. Of course I guess most missed Tschakko's post of a bare breasted woman with two men pretending to breast feed from her. I would love to see someone try to justify that one as being just for FUN! I guess anything goes in a family forum when trying to win a free coin though.

Just for the record :) :

That pic was over here all over the newspaper and even on TV. It is a pic that is making fun of our Chacelorette Angela Merkel. The two men are from politicians from Poland.

I was worrying about the political statement of it, that´s why I said I am not intending such a statement.

That is why I posted the pic in the first place, because I posted one that was making fun of Bush and I did not want to offend any americans.

I did not think (the not even real) boobs would be offending anyone, due to it being on TV over here.

 

I am glad I was adviced by a fellow forum user, that it might cause a problem though -> I removed it imediately. I am sorry if I offended anyone, I did not mean to...

 

I am asking you though (pghlooking):

Why didn´t you step up to me and advice me about my mistake? I am only human and it is possible, that I missjudge one thing or the other.

But I guess complaining in the public is getting you more satisfaction than teaching a fellow cacher about his mistakes? :D

 

By the way: If you do not like a fun pic, you do not have to laugh about it! :)

Are you seriously trying to make me believe that you thought it was OK to post a naked woman in a family friendly forum all in the name of winning a coin? There are a set of guidelines here and further than that there is an amount of common sense that should go into a post. If you couldn't figure that out on your own, then you should go read the guidline lines before posting any more.

 

I love how you try to make it my fault for your post because I didn't take the time to correct you. As I was walking out the door to work this morning I saw your post and couldn't believe someone would actually stoop so low for a coin. I didn't have the time to try to "correct" you, even if I wanted to. Furthermore, I am not a Moderator here so I don't feel it's my place to have to correct you. We are grown adults, so maybe you should take responsibility for your actions rather than try to shift the blame on someone because they didn't stop you from doing something so stupid.

 

I am not complaining, but ratehr using your post to illustrate how far these so called "cointests" have gone over the deep end and have no buisness here masquarding as a part of geocoins. While some cointests can be fun, too much of anything is going to ruin it, and this was a perfect example of how badly it can be ruined.

That picture was not family friendly and had I seen it before it was edited out, someone would not be posting right now. What may be acceptable in Poland is not necessarily acceptable elsewhere.

 

You all don't see behind the scenes. I received reports about how off topic this cointest was. Since it had already started, I let it run and merely asked the OP to shorten the time frame. I did not close it. The photos are killer for dial up users, and yes believe it or not, there are still plenty of dial up users out there. Photos are fun, but why couldn't the cointest have been about coins or caching photos, not photos many of the people out there have already seen? Personally, I'd consider some of those photos cruelty to animals.

This is not sucking the FUN out of something. It's merely trying to keep these geocoin forums about geocoins.

Did someone say Pandora?

Actually I commented on your whole post and didn't edit anything. It's your words that are making you look bad, not mine. Actually your post is what you made you look like an...Nah I can't say that. I know the guidelines.

 

I am in that thread as well stating my views. Check it out. But please don't think that was a hit on you. Thicker skin is needed in the forums than that.

 

Actually porn is a subjective term and not really relevant here. I didn't say it was porn or anything. I said it lacked common sense and was way over the line as per the GC guidelines. If you are so unsure of what is allowed and what isn't, then maybe you should spend more time brushing up on the guidelines than posting stupid pics.

 

IS IT TIME TO CLOSE THIS THREAD YET???
