Colorado 300 basemap deleted, what now?

As you can see, I have made the mistake of deleting the basemap off my Colorado 300. I am not a home so I don't have my cd rom that came with it. Even if I did, would that be helpful or am I out of luck?

When on a sd memory card or something try a 'recovery' program.

But you MUST not try to place anything else on it , or you disrupt the index that is still there as long as it's untouched.

Sometimes those programs (very small) can recover for exsample your deleted pictures on a camera memory card.

Thanks, I tried that.. I had loaded another mapset on and it's too late.

 

I wonder how one goes about getting the basemap on the unit once it's off? I understand I should have backed it all up before messing around but it's too late to do that now.

Thats too bad.

If its on a Sd memory card (or other) you can try using a card reader and a computer.

But when in the field, I guess thats no option.

Based on other posts, Garmin tech support has been good about correcting this type of issue. It is going to require you to call tech support, however. Your CD would not do you any good. And back it up next time
